Visit Project

Published on 2024-09-23

This is the first application I poured lots of energy into, not like one of those projects, that you start, commit into your repo, and then let it dry off in a corner never to develop further.

It took lots of effort to detail, to create an app that was deemed even 'ready' to be released, which is probably one of the key learnings... release quicker.
I'll keep this blog short and list what the app can do as of now, that I deem to be the core aspects:

πŸ“š Sync and Visualize

  • Browser-based app for Amazon Kindle users
  • Imports and beautifully visualizes all your book highlights and notes
  • Easy-to-use interface for managing your reading insights

🧠 Create and Connect Ideas

  • Create "ideas" - DeepRead's unique note format
  • Link ideas to other ideas and highlights
  • Add images and hashtags to your ideas
  • Craft summarized key takeaways for each book

πŸ”„ Export with Ease

  • Export your content as markdown
  • Includes book structure, highlights, and personal ideas
  • Perfect for integrating with other note-taking systems

πŸ“± Social Feed

  • Scroll through a feed similar to Instagram or TikTok
  • Share your literary journey with others
  • Discover insights from fellow readers

πŸ”’ Privacy Controls
